Take Advantage of the Sport Mode on the 2015 Acura RLX

2015 RLXThe 2015 Acura RLX is available now at Wisconsin Acura Dealers, and while it’s impressive inside and out, the Acura sport mode is something that we think you’ll be particularly intrigued by. As part of the six-speed sequential SportShift automatic transmission, drivers get a set of steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters that can give you the precision of a manual transmission with the convenience of an automatic transmission.

A State of the Art Transmission

For smooth gear changes that emphasize fuel efficiency, set the transmission to “drive.” Opt for the “sport” gear for speedier acceleration and high-revving before the engine up-shifts. With precision shifting at your fingertips, the RLX feels like it came straight out of the future and into our showroom.

If you tap one of the paddle shifters while you’re in “drive” mode, it switches gears quickly and then returns to an automatic operation once the vehicle comes back to a steady speed. Quickly changing gears without having to change back and forth between manual and automatic modes.

On the other hand, if you tap a paddle shifter in the “sport” mode, you can enjoy complete control in hilly or high-performance driving. And for better downhill engine braking or hill climbing, the RLX’s Grade Logic Control causes the transmission to hold itself in a lower gear when you’re on a steep grade.

Of course this transmission wouldn’t be nearly as impressive if it weren’t paired with an incredible engine. Under the hood of the RLX is a 3.5L V6 engine with 310 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque, making the RLX an amazing sport sedan.

Take the RLX for a Spin

If you want to see this incredible transmission in action, we invite you to take the 2015 Acura RLX for a test drive at a Wisconsin Acura Dealer near you. We think you’ll agree that its Sport mode is one of the most engaging driving experiences on the road.

Wisconsin Acura Dealers includes Bergstrom Acura, Acura of Brookfield, and Zimbrick Acura.
