Does the 2016 Lexus ES Price Compare to the TLX?

2015 Acura TLXWhile it is rare that any two people are going to want the same thing out of their luxury sedan, we think that a comparison of the 2016 Lexus ES 350 price and features to that of the 2015 Acura TLX might make an impression on our Wisconsin drivers. Not only does the TLX feature a lower price and higher fuel economy, it provides drivers multiple features that Lexus would have you upgrade for.

Discover Value and Luxury in an Acura

Many drivers associate “luxury” with “expensive,” but Acura has built a reputation out of giving drivers true value in affordable luxury cars and crossovers. While the 2015 Acura TLX is new, it’s certainly no different.

  • The 2015 Acura TLX 8-Spd DCT is the standard model and carries a base price of just $31,445 (MSRP),* earning an EPA-estimated 35 highway and 24 city mpg.**
  • The 2016 Lexus ES 350 price, on the other hand, starts at $38,000, and it only manages 31 highway and 21 city mpg.

Already the TLX offers a pretty substantial savings over the Lexus, but we haven’t gotten to the features yet. Despite its higher price tag, the Lexus ES 350 was found lacking when we compared its amenities to those of the base TLX.

Acura’s Advantage on Features

Many drivers have come to expect certain amenities on luxury sedans – power-adjustable front seating, for example – and both the TLX and ES 350 deliver on those expectations. But the TLX goes beyond them with features like these, which are unavailable or require an upgrade on the ES 350:

  • Driver-side memory settings for seat position, mirrors, climate control, and more
  • Speed-sensing interval wipers
  • Heated front seating
  • Noise/sound cancelation
  • Paddle shifters

The TLX even offers more front legroom so that you can get comfortable on a longer drive.

Test Drive a TLX

If you are intimidated by the 2016 Lexus ES 350 price, we can’t blame you. We aren’t quite sure where the substantial difference in pricing comes from, but we think you owe it to yourself to get behind the wheel of the 2015 Acura TLX and see it in action. At Wisconsin Acura Dealers, we think every driver deserves a luxury sedan they can easily afford.
