July 18th, 2016 by

2017 Acura ILXThe 2016 Audi A3 price might seem pretty appealing to Wisconsin drivers shopping for an entry-level luxury sedan, but you should be sure to check out some competitors, too. We put the A3 up against the 2017 Acura ILX to give our drivers an idea of what at least one of their other options is in the luxury car market. Before we get into the details of what separates these vehicles—and there’s a lot—let’s start with the price.

  • 2016 Audi A3 prices start at $30,900 (MSRP) and rise to $40,675 when equipped comparably to the 2017 Acura ILX.
  • The base-model 2017 ILX, however, is priced at just $27,990 (MSRP).*

Drivers might expect a vehicle like the A3 to have more in the way of features thanks to its higher price, but that’s not the case.

Acura Delivers Luxury and Value

One of the easiest ways to measure value on a luxury sedan is to look at its features and compare them to the prices and features of other vehicles. You’ve already seen that the ILX bests the 2016 Audi A3 price, but it also has an edge on features.

You’ll find each of the following amenities on the 2017 Acura ILX, but they are either unavailable or require an upgrade on the Audi:

  • Voice-activated audio and Bluetooth controls
  • AcuraLink telematics
  • Heated front seating
  • Noise and sound cancellation
  • USB audio input
  • Jewel Eye LED headlights
  • Push-button start
  • Steering wheel–mounted paddle shifters
