Experience Winning Opulence Among the 2016 Acura TLX Standard Features
Are you looking for a luxury vehicle with all the bells and whistles? The 2016 Acura TLX standard features include abundant high-end amenities to bolster comfort, convenience, and connectivity.
Come along with us as we compare the standard amenities of the TLX to one of its top rivals: the 2016 BMW 3 Series Sedan. Discover just how much the impressive TLX has to offer when compared with one of its more expensive competitors.
In terms of pricing, cost for the TLX base model is $31,695 MSRP,* while the BMW 3 Series price starts at $33,150 MSRP.
For that lower base cost, the TLX offers various amenities that are not found in the base-model 3 Series or that are only available as optional upgrades for an added cost.
Standard interior features found in the TLX include two-driver memory adjustments for locks, headlights, mirrors, HVAC, and seating. Onboard the 3 Series base trim, driver memory is only available for locks and headlights, and only as an optional upgrade.
The TLX also offers a standard rearview camera and universal garage door opener in the base model, features that are only available as extra-cost upgrades in the 3 Series base trim. Power-adjustable, heated front seats and adjustable front-seat lumbar support also come standard in the TLX but are only available as extra-cost options in the 3 Series.
The TLX further features standard satellite radio in the base trim, which is only an optional upgrade in the 3 Series, and standard noise cancellation features, which are not available at all in the 3 Series. An auto-dimming interior mirror also comes standard in the TLX but is only an available upgrade in the 3 Series.
Among the exterior features offered standard onboard the TLX base model, drivers will enjoy a standard power moonroof, which is only available as an optional upgrade in the 3 Series base trim. LED headlights also come standard in the TLX but are only available as upgrades onboard the 3 Series.
The TLX is additionally longer and wider than the 3 Series, offering a more solid stance (it measures 190.3 inches in length and 73.0 inches in width, while the 3 Series is only 182.5 inches long and 71.3 inches wide). The TLX also has a higher ground clearance of 5.8 inches, while the ground clearance of the 3 Series is 5.5 inches.
The TLX further has a greater fuel tank capacity of 17.2 gallons, while the 3 Series has a 15.8-gallon fuel tank. This means TLX drivers can travel farther between fuel stops than drivers behind the wheel of the 3 Series.
